My Bio

Charlie fixes things! For the last 17 years he’s managed change in a number of SME’s resulting in more streamlined, more productive and profitable organisations. He sees the big picture, yet has a keen eye for detail.

He is an accomplished, well-rounded and experienced senior business manager having spent 20 years in the Corporate world at Senior European level with Country Managers reporting in to him, and then at Director level at a number of business over the next 17 years during which time he helped a number of mature SME companies evolve into dynamic, profitable organisations by consistently delivering added value business improvements that positively impacted profit performance.

He solves the issues that cause so many pain-points for Business Owners today:

  • what has Covid-19 done to my business and where do I go from here?
  • not enough time (for anything)
  • not enough personal income and satisfaction any more
  • no firm idea of where the business is going.

In his 25 years working in a number of “Tech” companies varying in size from start-ups to Global Corporates he added value providing significant experience and expertise in the design and supply of major IT projects for companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Mars Foods, Electrabel (Belgium Power), London Stock Exchange and European Air Traffic Control. In each role he increased Pan European turnover and profit by 15% – 150% year on year.
At a non-tech SME he added 28% to the bottom line by successfully targeting a major supermarket which added £750k/year to the turnover at 40% margin, and as a Senior Director at a power products company he led the major change process that refocussed the company and enabled them to achieve the prestigious “SC 21 silver” award and so become a preferred supplier to the MOD and major defence players, whilst improving their efficiency and profitability.

His more recent experience includes working at senior management level in the UK electronics industry, sourcing product from partners in Spain, USA and France.  Originally an Engineer, Charlie has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Nothing pleases Charlie more than seeing the “light bulb come on” at the Eureka moment when a client or customer realises how much better their situation is about to become with a new-found solution. Charlie now helps small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) grow their businesses using the theoretical and practical methods and approaches which he has learned during his long and varied career in the highly competitive world of IT and electronics.

Outside of his work activities Charlie enjoys spending time with his family and when there is time he dips into a number of active hobbies including scuba diving, motor-cycling, skiing and he learnt to fly in 1998.
